Killing of Konrad Imirowicz

Konrad Imirowicz, 64, lived with his daughter Megan Joyce Imirowicz in Groveland Township, Michigan. On October 1, 2021, Megan approached him for a ride before an appointment and birthday celebration. According to the Michigan Court of Appeals, Konrad was intoxicated and incapacitated. Megan became upset and threw several objects at him, including lye powder, before leaving the house. A friend who later entered the home found Konrad on a couch, covered in white powder and suffering severe burns, and emergency help was summoned.

On December 3, 2024, a three-judge Michigan Court of Appeals panel unanimously affirmed. The panel concluded that the trial court had adequately explained the departure by considering Megan's youth, immaturity, family circumstances, lack of criminal history, and prospects for rehabilitation. Associated Press reporting stated that her probation was scheduled to continue until July 2028.
