Casepin is an archive built from other people’s work, handled with care. Facts trace to cited sources; adapted prose is shared back under the same license; coverage stays with its creators.

Where a case file's narrative draws on Wikipedia, that text is modified from the cited articles and shared back under the same Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (CC BY-SA 4.0). We attribute it, and our adaptation carries the same license so it stays free to reuse under the same terms.

Structured data — Wikidata, CC0.

Structured facts (dates, places, identifiers) sourced from Wikidata are in the public domain under CC0. Public records — court filings, government and law-enforcement documents — are used as primary sources and are not copyrightable as facts; US federal government works are public domain.

Coverage — linked and embedded, never rehosted.

Videos, podcasts, and documentaries belong to their creators. Casepin links to them and embeds their official players (YouTube via the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie player; Spotify and Apple podcast episodes via their own embeds). We never copy, re-host, or re-upload anyone's coverage, and we respect each platform's embeddable setting.
