What happened

Lorraine Cox, 32, was last seen in central Exeter in the early hours of September 1, 2020. CCTV showed her walking with Azam Mangori toward the flat where he lived. Prosecutors said Mangori killed Cox there, and police later found her remains at the property while investigating her disappearance. After Cox's death, Mangori concealed and disposed of her remains and used her phone and social-media accounts to pose as her in messages. He admitted preventing her lawful burial but denied murder. A jury at Exeter Crown Court found Mangori guilty of murder on April 1, 2021.
