On 2 February 2016, the body of a teenage girl was discovered at Nayagaun in Pokhara-15, Nepal. The body was later identified as Yoruna Pun, who was known by the name Neha. She had worked as an actress, having appeared in two films, and was also employed at the Smile Cafe at the time of her death.

The case drew public attention in Pokhara and led to further investigation into the circumstances of her death. In 2018, Kirtan Khadgi was convicted in connection with the case. He was found guilty of raping and killing Neha Pun and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
