    Killings of Manfred and Marísia von Richthofen

    Engineer Manfred von Richthofen and psychiatrist Marísia von Richthofen were beaten to death in their São Paulo mansion on October 31, 2002, in a killing staged as a robbery. Their daughter, Suzane von Richthofen, and her boyfriend Daniel Cravinhos and his brother Cristian Cravinhos were later convicted of planning and carrying out the murders to gain Suzane's inheritance.
