2013 Shanghai shooting
On 22 June 2013, Fan Jieming, a security manager at a Shanghai chemical company, killed six people and injured four others in a spree across Baoshan and Pudong districts before being apprehended. He was convicted in 2015 and executed in 2016.

On 22 June 2013, a spree killing occurred in Shanghai, China, resulting in six deaths and four injuries. The perpetrator, later identified as 62-year-old Fan Jieming, was the security manager of the Guangyu fine chemical company in Shanghai's Baoshan District and a military veteran.
The attack began when Fan fatally beat a coworker at the Guangyu fine chemical company in Baoshan. He then retrieved a hunting rifle he had hidden in his dormitory. Fan hired a taxi to drive him to Pudong District; when the cab stopped there, he shot and killed the driver and drove the vehicle back to Baoshan. Once back in Baoshan, he shot and killed a soldier who was guarding the entrance to a barracks and stole the soldier's weapon. Fan then returned to the chemical factory, where he shot and killed three more people, including a manager who may also have been one of the factory's owners. He was apprehended following this final attack at the factory.
Shanghai police indicated that the rampage may have been motivated by an economic dispute, though this was described as a possible rather than confirmed motive.
Fan Jieming was tried and, on 29 June 2015, was convicted on six counts of murder along with charges of attempted murder, robbery, and robbery of firearms. He was sentenced to death. Fan was executed in June 2016.
This case involved multiple locations and weapons obtained during the course of the attack, including a hunting rifle and a firearm taken from a soldier.
