On the night between Friday and Saturday, 1 January 2021, Usama Nadeem Satti, a 22-year-old, was shot dead in the G-10/4 area of Islamabad, Pakistan. He was killed by personnel of Pakistan's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).

Following the shooting, Satti's family and a large number of students gathered to protest in front of the National Press Club.
