2021 Rohini Court shooting

On 24 September 2021, Indian gangster Jitender Mann Gogi was reportedly shot dead by two men inside courtroom 207 of the Rohini Court Complex, located in the North-West Delhi district of Delhi, India. Gogi was reportedly being produced by police at the court at the time of the shooting.

The two assailants who carried out the shooting were themselves shot dead by police at the scene. According to available reporting, the two men had entered the courtroom disguised in lawyers' attire and had carried weapons into the court complex without being checked or frisked, raising immediate questions about the security procedures at the facility.

Within minutes of the shooting, video footage depicting a chaotic scene just outside courtroom 207, with gunshots audible in the background, circulated widely on social media platforms. The rapid spread of this footage contributed to considerable public uproar and outrage over how the incident had unfolded inside an active courtroom.

The Rohini Court Complex houses subordinate court establishments serving two districts of Delhi — North-West Delhi and North Delhi.
