On the afternoon of 21 October 2002, Egged commuter bus 841, traveling Route No. 65 from Kiryat Shmona to Tel Aviv, stopped at the Karkur junction near Wadi Ara, Israel, approximately eight kilometres from Hadera, during the afternoon rush hour.
