2008 Vladikavkaz bombing

On 6 November 2008, an explosion occurred on a routed taxicab as it was unloading passengers at a market in Vladikavkaz, the capital of North Ossetia, Russia. The blast killed 12 people and injured 41 others.
The attack was carried out by a female suicide bomber.
On 15 November 2008, responsibility for the attack was claimed by the Riyad-us Saliheen Brigade of Martyrs, a unit affiliated with the militant Caucasus Emirate group. This claim of responsibility followed the bombing by several days.
