2024 Tel Aviv truck attack

On 27 October 2024, at around 10:00 local time, a truck struck a crowd at a bus stop near the Glilot Junction on Aharon Yariv Boulevard, close to the Glilot military base and the Mossad headquarters in Ramat HaSharon, Israel. The bus stop was in use as a bus was disembarking passengers, most of whom were reported to be pensioners traveling to a nearby museum.
At least one person was killed and reports indicate up to 40 others were injured, including ten described as in critical condition. Eight people were found pinned beneath the vehicle following the attack. The truck driver was shot dead at the scene by a civilian bystander.
The perpetrator was identified as Rami Nasrallah Natour, an Arab Israeli from Qalansawe in Israel's Central District. The company that owned the truck stated that Natour had deviated from his assigned route toward the site of the attack, an account consistent with the incident being characterized as a deliberate ramming attack.
In the aftermath, Hamas described the incident as a "heroic ramming attack," framing it as a response to actions it attributed to Israel, and the attack was also praised by Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for Natour's family to be deported from Israel.
A subsequent, separate incident is noted in connection with this case: on 22 May 2026, the 17-year-old brother of Natour was reported to have shot and killed an Israeli couple inside their car near Moshav Mishmar Ayalon. He was arrested following that incident.
