    2022 University of Idaho Murders

    Four University of Idaho students—Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Ethan Chapin, and Xana Kernodle—were fatally stabbed inside an off-campus house in Moscow, Idaho, in the early morning hours of November 13, 2022. Bryan Kohberger, a criminology PhD student at nearby Washington State University, was arrested that December and pleaded guilty in 2025, receiving four consecutive life sentences.

    Murder of Cassie Jo Stoddart

    Cassie Jo Stoddart, a 16-year-old Pocatello, Idaho high school student, was stabbed to death on September 22, 2006 by two classmates, Brian Lee Draper and Torey Michael Adamcik, who said they were inspired by the film Scream. Both were convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life imprisonment without parole.

    In 2011, Meridian, Idaho attorney Emmett Corrigan was fatally shot in a Walgreens parking lot by Robert Hall, whose wife had been having an affair with Corrigan. Hall claimed self-defense, but a jury convicted him of second-degree murder, a verdict upheld on appeal in 2016.
