    2006 Gaza cross-border raid

    On 25 June 2006, Palestinian militants used a tunnel to attack Israeli military positions near the Kerem Shalom Crossing, killing two IDF soldiers and capturing wounded soldier Gilad Shalit, who was held in Gaza until his release in a 2011 prisoner exchange.

    Murder of Reuven Shmerling

    Reuven Shmerling, a 70-year-old man from Elkana, was stabbed and beaten to death on October 4, 2017, in a warehouse in Kfar Qasim, Israel. Two Palestinian men who had entered Israel illegally and were working for his son were indicted for the murder, which was classified as a terror attack.
